چکیده
In this article, we have demostrated the application of two newly proposed estimators which accounts for lack of overlap under propensity score matching on a case study involing the analysis of health expenditure data for the United States. استفاده از Propensity Score برای همسان سازی نمونه ها در یک مطالعه مورد شاهدی
Background and Aim: Case-Control studies provide evidence in the area of health. Validity and accuracy of such studies depend to a large extent on the similarity (similar distributions) of the case and control groups according to confounding variables. Matching is a method for controlling or eliminating the effects of important confounders. Matching using propensity score has recently been intr...
متن کاملThe Effect of Inflation Targeting on Indirect Tax Performance in Selected Countries Using Propensity Score Matching Model
Inflation targeting framework has become a predominant monetary approach across the globe. Williams (2015) believes that in a very real sense, almost all economies are inflation targeters -either explicit or implicit- now.(1) Due to the increasing spread of this policy, it is necessary to consider the way it affects macroeconomic variables. using prevalent economic models for evaluating the eff...

P eople’s business credit program (KUR) has been launched to alleviate poverty through provision of micro financing to micro entrepreneurs in Indonesia This study aims to estimate the impact of KUR program using cross-sectional data and propensity score matching technique (PSM). The survey was conducted on 332 household entrepreneurs, consisting of 155 KUR receivers and 177 non-KUR r...
متن کاملMultilevel Propensity Score Methods for Estimating Causal Effects: A Latent Class Modeling Strategy
Despite their appeal, randomized experiments cannot always be conducted, for example, due to ethical or practical reasons. In order to remove selection bias and draw causal inferences from observational data, propensity score matching techniques have gained increased popularity during the past three decades. Although propensity score methods have been studied extensively for single-level data, ...
متن کاملFinite Sample Properties of Semiparametric Estimators of Average Treatment Effects∗
We explore the finite sample properties of several semiparametric estimators of average treatment effects, including propensity score reweighting, matching, double robust, and control function estimators. When there is good overlap in the distribution of propensity scores for treatment and control units, reweighting estimators are preferred on bias grounds and attain the semiparametric efficien...
